Conservation Status

General Status in Canada Help: Secure

COSEWIC Status Help: Not assessed

The Connecticut Warbler is perhaps one of the least studied and most poorly known members of the family Parulidae (the wood warblers) in North America. Owing to its rather shy nature and often inaccessible breeding habitat, this species has not been the subject of any intensive study to date. Its breeding distribution is almost perfectly defined by the southern limit of the boreal forest, so management is a high priority within this region.
