Incidental Take evaluation

Incidental take refers to the deaths of individual birds resulting from the normal course of industrial activity. Environment Canada used habitat-specific estimates of species' densities (provided by BAM) to estimate incidental take by terrestrial oil and gas exploration and extraction, forestry operations, roadside maintenance operations, mining operations, and the wind energy sector in Canada.
