METHODS USED IN THE ANALYSES OF AVIAN DATA

To build predictive models of boreal bird distribution or abundance, BAM first developed and applied analytical approaches to:

Based on this work, BAM produced recommendations for standardized avian point count survey protocols for forest-based studies.

Following from these advances, BAM developed and applied methodologies to estimate avian densities at both the national and regional scale.

The approaches used to predict species distribution through the BAM boreal/hemiboreal study area are also presented.
