Conservation Applications

The Boreal Avian Modelling (BAM) Project recognises the value of a strong scientific foundation to making land use and conservation decisions. Accordingly, the BAM team participates in many collaborative projects to maximise the contributions of BAM data and methodologies to avian conservation. Our partners include government agencies, conservation groups, and forest products and energy industries. The geographic extent of these collaborative projects ranges from national, to state or provincial, to relatively small regions affected by specific industrial developments. The following links describe past and current collaborative efforts where BAM's data or results are contributing directly to conservation of boreal birds.
